The Unexpected Hits Home
In 2013, Steve Bell, our company president, was working out in a fitness room while on a business trip out of state. Even though he exercised regularly, he noticed an unusual fatigue. Steve went to a local ER and followed up with physicians at home, where he was later diagnosed with ALS.
The average life expectancy for people with ALS is two to five years, but Steve’s beating the odds. With encouragement from his father, Victor; wife, Pam and daughters, Ashley and Lindsey and their families, he has participated in clinical trials, shared his ALS journey with medical students, sent the “ice bucket challenge” coast-to-coast, and participated in many fundraising walks and activities.
